The VHS AI Career Toolkit
Your AI Career Toolkit
Built by veterans. Powered by AI. Focused entirely on you.
Transition is not one decision. It is hundreds of small ones.
The VHS AI Career Toolkit gives you three specialized AI coaches, built to help you discover your direction, communicate your value, and succeed in the civilian workforce. Think of them as your Iron Man suit. They are here to empower you.
This is simply a place to learn
Nothing you write is used to evaluate you. Nothing here is scored. Nothing affects your standing with Veteran Hiring Solutions.
VHS may keep what you write here so a recruiter can coach you on it, and so we can make these tools better for the next veteran. It never reaches an employer. Nothing here is graded or judged. This is a safe place to learn and find the right career for YOU as a human, not as your MOS.
One journey, three steps
Where are you in your transition?
Most veterans meet these in order. Start wherever you actually are today, and come back to the others when you need them.

Step 1
Discover Your Direction
Pathfinder · MOS Translator, Centered on You
Pathfinder starts with you, not your duty description. It asks what you were doing when the work felt worth doing, and what you did when the plan fell apart, and it looks for the person in those answers. Your MOS gets translated along the way, but the point is the human a civilian would be hiring, not a tidier list of duties.
What you leave with You leave with civilian words for how you operate and what drives you, not only for what you were assigned, and two or three career directions where that person is genuinely valuable, with the reasoning shown so you can argue with it.Start here if you do not have a target job yet.
Start with Pathfinder About 15 to 20 minutes -
Step 2
Tell Your Story
BMax · Personal Interview Coach
You already know this format. A murder board is what units have run for generations to get someone ready for a promotion board: sit them down and grill them with hard questions until the answer holds up under pressure. This tool runs the same drill for a civilian interview, one question at a time, including the questions that are hard for veterans specifically. After each answer it tells you what landed and what did not, then offers you the same question again so you get the rep.
What you leave with You leave with answers you can say out loud, told in a way a civilian can follow, so the story you tell in the room matches the career you actually lived.Best once you have a role, or a kind of role, in mind.
Practice with BMax About 20 to 30 minutes -
Step 3
Thrive in Civilian Work
Cadre · Corporate Culture Navigator
Cadre is a judgment-free place to ask how a civilian workplace actually works: how decisions get made, how information moves with no chain of command, what a meeting is really for, and whether what you are running into is normal friction or a real problem.
What you leave with You leave knowing the unwritten rules, which of them are worth learning, and the one sentence that resolves the fear civilian teams have about people who say the uncomfortable thing. For the offer in hand, the first week, or the fifth year.
Talk with Cadre About 10 to 15 minutes
Why three coaches, not one
Each one has a single mission
A coach that tries to do everything gives shallow answers to all of it. Each of these tools focuses on one part of the transition so it can go deep, ask the next real question, and give guidance that is thoughtful rather than generic. That is an intentional product decision, not a limitation.
Pathfinder
Discover Your Direction
Purpose, direction, and translating what you did into words a civilian recognizes. Nothing else, so it can go deep on the hardest part.
BMax
Tell Your Story
The murder board you already know from prepping for a promotion board, run for your next interview instead. Hard questions, one at a time, until the answer holds up.
Cadre
Thrive in Civilian Work
Corporate culture, unwritten rules, and the workplace itself. The mission after the offer letter.
Your privacy matters
What happens to your words
Your conversation may be kept so a VHS recruiter can coach you on it. Here is exactly what that means, and what it never means.
Your conversation may be kept, for you. VHS may save it so a VHS recruiter can coach you on it, and so these tools get better for the next veteran.
Nothing you write is used to evaluate you. These tools exist to help you see and say what is already true about you. They never grade you.
Nothing is shared with an employer. What you say to a coach here never reaches a hiring company.
Nothing changes your standing with VHS. Using a tool here is not applying for anything, and it does not touch any search you are in.
What we learn is shared only in aggregate. VHS may summarise what veterans ask about across many conversations, for its own reporting. Never by name.
You decide how much to share. Your name and email are optional. Stop whenever you like. If you want a recruiter to reach you, tell us who you are.
Real help beyond an exercise means talking to a person. These tools are built by fellow veterans, and a VHS recruiter is a phone call away.
Why we built this
The technology matters. The human behind it matters more.
After years of helping veterans transition into civilian careers, we realized too many people needed guidance long before they ever spoke with one of our recruiters.
We built these AI coaches so every veteran could access that experience whenever they needed it, completely free of charge. They are fellow veterans trying to make an impact in a broken military transition space.
